- Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
- Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Strong sense of ownership - Feeling of personal accountability for all areas in scope.
- Ability to work as part of team and Independent
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Hands on experience with IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager) business rules programming (i.e. IBM ODM / JRULES / Decision Center / RES or Any other Rules Management System
- Exposure in cloud technologies
- Experience in Automation and modernization, such as CICD, Jules , Jenkins
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages, and application development in Java or other program languages
- Experience to Agile development methodology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Hands on experience in issue management and resolution
- Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
- Credit card, Auto Finance and Risk Management experience
- Familiarity with other BRMS tools is a plus
- Exposure to cloud technologies
