      Our Software E ngineers work in a n exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabl ing rapid learning to drive success . Our s oftware engineers utilize a variety of skills on a regular basis including requirements analysis , development and delivery of high-quality mission critical software . This position will support the shaping of the future of NC3 defense systems for the armed forces. This position is located onsite in Richardson, TX.

      What Y ou W ill D o:

      • You will team up with a high-performance software team, collaborating with fellow Software engineer s , Scrum Master s , Product Owner s , Software Architects , and other teams .

      • You will support requirements decomposition and derivation to produce Software Requirements .

      • You will participate in the design of the capabilities produc ing UML and SysML diagrams .

      • You will be responsible for producing high quality mission critical software .

      • You will p articipate in code and related artifacts peer reviews .

      • You will create test cases.

      Qualifications You Must Have:

      • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

      • 1 + year s professional e xperience with Object Oriented Development using Java with the ability to create complex software designs based on customer ’s requirements .

      Qualifications We Prefer :

      • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance

      • Experience/Un d erstanding UML, SysML , MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools.

      • Experience/Understanding r equirements analysis , r equirements decomposition and derivation .

      • Understanding v irtualization .

      • Understanding microservices, containers and orchestrators .

      • Understanding OM S.

      • Understanding DevSecOps and CI/CD .

      • Understanding pub/subs bus such as ActiveMQ, DDS .

      • Understanding Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

      • Understanding Graphical User Interfaces with Java frameworks, such as Swing or JavaFx .

      The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
