- Operational management and monitoring of the product system. This includes utilization monitoring, trend analysis, and log reviews. Communicate findings and recommendations for preemptive and remediation actions.
- Perform Development Operations (DevOps) activities around the configuring and adjusting of computing and storage resources based on requirements. Work with the technology leader to size and recommend platform specifications. Coordinate activities with CloudOps, TechOps, and DBA team.
- Investigation and analyze reported problem and anomalies within the production system. Prepare remediation recommendations and organize their deployment. Work with the operations team leader to gather and report on statistics as needed.
- Responsible for organizing and executing performance measurement activities. Prepare performance tuning recommendations. Tracking trending of resource usage in relation to thresholds and limits within the production environment. This includes database usage and performance.
- Develop utilities and administration capabilities to improve the management and operations of the running system.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or 5+ years of related experience in a software development team.
- Technical skills: Programming experience in Java or Python. Experience with cloud technology and cloud services. Should have experience in operational system configuration.
- Analytical skills: Must be adept at problem analysis; this includes assessing performance issues and conducting performance tuning.
- Communication skills: Must be able to convey and clearly articulate finding and recommendations to technology teams as well and program management. This includes verbal and written communications.
- Competencies: Must be a result-driven self-starter. Must be able to determine the actions needed based on a situation. Must be able to deliver results with minimal supervision. Robust data knowledge preferably around business data sets with proven analytical and quantitative skills.
- Must have experience with Google Cloud, Terraform and Harness.
- Experience with AWS a strong plus.

The Role: As a Software Engineer II and work as a Dev ops engineer, you will be working as part of an agile team, hands on with Cloud migration and Cloud native application implementation. You will be responsible for the analysis, operation and maintenance of the DevOps processes. This role covers the full range of activities from DevOps sizing, defining and sourcing the environment computing resources to the management and monitoring of cloud native environment. In this role, you will ensure proper execution of the development CICD pipeline, swift identification of the root cause of production system problems and anomalies along with developing remediation plans and will function as the operation owner of the application.
