  Job Description

  The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team.
  
  Location: Although this position does support some teleworking; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton CO, and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

  What does this role look like?
  
  This Software Engineering position will support the FBM Advanced Imaging Facility (AIF), a team who’s core purpose is to support data collection efforts in a flight test environment. Use your strong software engineering skills to help successfully execute the refresh of the AIF Tracking Control System (TCS).
  
  
  
  Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
  
  • Support of the FBM AIF as a senior software engineer
  • Modernization of tracking control algorithm software aimed at greater efficiency, capability, and configuration management
  • Implementation of new software functionality for improvement on tracking and flight test data collection capabilities
  • Support of software/hardware/embedded systems integration and test
  • Collaboration with controls, systems, and optical focused engineers using Agile development methodology
  
  
  
  To be effective in this role, you will need:
  
  • Programming experience using C/C++
  • 5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree.
  • While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

  National Pay Statement

  Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
