Job Title: Software Engineer III
Job Duties: The Raymond Corporation seeks a Software Engineer in Greene, NY to develop hardware in loop testing projects for forklift vehicle control manager and other forklift modules. Develop embedded software test tools with Matlab, Simulink, National Instruments hardware, and tools for vehicle systems. Develop, design, debug, and code in C/C#/Modern C++ and utilize
CANalyzer, version control, and communication protocols with Python, .Net Framework, LabVIEW, Teststand, Veristand and LabVIEW Real Time. Develop and coordinate Hardware In
Loop (HIL) bench deployment and support for forklift test benches and associated software and hardware tools. Develop test plans, templates, and test cases for simulated truck environment and reports to stakeholders for tests. Standardize and increase test capabilities on HIL System test bench for class I and class II Forklift trucks. Interpret high-level and mid-level project requirements for HIL systems development, documents and translations to design of low-level hardware/software requirements. Simulate forklift subsystems feedback signals using software tools and integrated to HIL systems to accommodate all project requirements. Design and develop vehicle (Forklift) testing platforms with NI PXI systems, modular instruments and other I/O modules using embedded code application in Matlab/Simulink or LabView. Develop software test suites using hardware in loop concepts with software tools TestStand and Python for vehicle systems testing. Participate in the integration, regression testing, and embedded code coverage tests of software and system functionality. Diagnose and resolve issues with vehicle testing platforms, Hardware in Loop tests, and software configurations. Telecommuting available up to one day per week. Annual salary: $97,500 to $124,700.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study plus 3 years of embedded software engineering experience in: Developing, designing, debugging, and coding skills in C/C#/Modern C++; CANalyzer, version control, and communication protocols with Python, .Net Framework, LabVIEW, Teststand, Veristand and LabVIEW Real Time; ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001; Manufacturing test environment; MATLAB, Simulink, and LabView; PLCs, OPC Servers, and Kepware industrial control systems; CAN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, UWB, Bluetooth Network and communications technology; and Programming techniques using Python and Structured Text.
