      Content Management and Design Intern

      Chicago, IL; Buffalo Grove, IL; Lewisville, TX; Remote (in East or Central time zone)

      Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Hours can be flexible during the normal business day.

      Internship program dates: May 31 - August 23, 2024

Successful Interns of our Content Management and Design (CMDS) Team should have a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The CMDS Intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with management.

      The CMDS Internship is a 12-week program that requires 40 hours of work each week. Our program focuses on providing individuals with an opportunity to experience working in a corporate software development environment. CMDS Interns will gain exposure to a wide range of activities and experiences useful for future potential careers in information technology, computer systems, accounting, and financial industries. Specific project work will vary depending on the time of year and the most critical needs of Corptax at the time of the internship program.

      Some of the things you'll learn from us:

      • Software coding: Writing, texting, and publishing software code (using Microsoft Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, C#, Alteryx, etc.) based on guidance from subject matter experts.
      • Quality Assurance: Performing quality assurance testing on the tools and work necessary for Corptax’s tax compliance software ensuring accurate results and updating software code as appropriate.
      • Microsoft Office Applications: Leveraging Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power BI, etc. to improve existing tools and processes.
      • Personal Accountability: Ensuring appropriate level of professionalism and ability to handle multiple tasks required in order to get a project completed.
      • Teamwork: Working well with fellow interns and other teams within Corptax. Focusing on the success of other interns in addition to the success of yourself.
      • Individual Responsibility: Being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks. Performing additional tasks as necessary.

      What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?

      • Candidates for this position must be eligible to work without sponsorship
      • Currently attending college, university, or a similar training program, pursuing education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Management, or similar focus
      • Graduating or ready for full-time employment within 12 months of August 2023
      • Proficiency with software packages (e.g. C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, Python, CSS, SQL, etc.).
      • Familiar with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
      • Experience working on projects to successful completion
      • Demonstratable initiative and drive for success.
      • Efficient oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work well in teams.
      • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
