Develop and maintain applications using Java/Spring Boot for integration.
Customize and enhance IBM FileNet applications with minimal customizations (25-30%).
Work with Spring REST and Spring Batch modules.
Integrate with other content management systems such as MS Sharepoint and Hadoop.
Host primary systems on IBM WebSphere.
Manage databases using RDBMS and SQL.
Ensure all solutions are implemented on-premises.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for onsite and in person collaboration the other three days.

Overview:
Join the document management team, where we manage applications across the bank with a focus on long-term document repository solutions. We utilize IBM FileNet for content management and all development is done in Java/Spring Boot. As a Java Software Engineer, you will be part of an agile team where you will design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code; ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. In this position, the candidate will be contributing to a critical effort to migrate legacy applications to a modern, microservices architecture.

Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 5 years’ systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ systems analysis/application development experience
Proficient in Java (version 1.8 and above).
Experience with Spring Boot framework, including developing microservices and templates.
Knowledge of Spring Batch (version 2.8).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience presenting to the target audience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Beneficial to have experience with Linux.
Strong understanding of RDBMS and SQL.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with IBM FileNet is ideal, but training can be provided.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $93,581.10 - $155,968.51 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
Understanding of other content management systems like MS SharePoint and Hadoop is a plus.
