Job Description:
As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a fast-paced team focused on developing and enhancing ROS-based software applications, implementing complex algorithms, and integrating cutting-edge sensor technology. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design and support our current fleet and future generation products. Your responsibilities will include developing or enhancing robot algorithms used for navigation, localization, and mapping, evaluating and integrating new sensor technology, investigating and testing new functional capabilities for current and future generation robots, and interfacing with hardware vendors to facilitate system integration. You will also be expected to consult with external customers on robotics design support and assist in migration from ROS1 to ROS2.

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Nicholasville, Kentucky and some days remote.
Work Environment
This role is initial in-office for ttraining that is required. Following the training period, a hybrid work environment will be implemented. The work environment includes open cubes and areas where you will interface with software, firmware, and hardware teams, as well as product owners and architects. A flexible schedule is available, as many team members are currently working remotely.
