Job Description

- We're looking for an experienced developer who can deliver safe, robust, scalable and secure code in a consistent manner, focusing on C#, .Net and Microsoft SQL Server
- Day-to-day, you’ll be writing high quality, thoroughly tested code for web applications
- We'll look to you to leverage your technical skills to successfully deliver website enhancements and tooling improvements that help our business to confidently operate and grow at pace
- Maintaining and re-factoring legacy codebases supporting customer-facing web applications
- Evaluating architecture choices on an ongoing basis, in anticipation of resiliency enhancements and migration from an on-premises to cloud-based architecture
- Contributing towards technical design, code quality, test coverage, application scalability and security
- Knowledge of API hosting options and preferences
- Production experience of maintaining and administering SQL databases
- Knowledge of the key phases of software delivery lifecycle and established software development methodologies

What you'll do
As a Software Engineer, you’ll be supporting the delivery of customer and colleague facing products through automated, interactive and personalised web applications. You’ll make sure the technology stack is constantly enhanced by working closely with product teams in adding new features and ensuring defects are resolved in a timely manner.
Throughout the course of your work, we’ll look to you to support the technical leadership of software development in agile squads, contributing to the successful delivery of end user features and benefits.
