  Software Engineer - MES / EF / Remote Work

  GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:

  We in the Manufacuring Enablement Platform take care of MES.
  In this role you will be the Product Manager for an IT Product called OneMES, with a focus on Row Crop sites in LATAM.

  YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

  • MES Product Management and Operation for LATAM sites
  • Agile Product Management for MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Join cross-functional team to develop / rollout and operate OneMES
  • Business Process based requirements engineering and consulting
  • Work and together in an international environment
  • You work independently with stakeholders and users from the production environment to record requirements and work packages
  • To plan and create independently, to support the implementation by third parties and to accept the delivered results
  • Collaborate with other product teams to create a development roadmap that ensures synergies and re-usability
  • Participate in innovation activities to drive digitalization for Bayer
  • Continuously educate yourself to meet changing business needs and use new technologies sensibly

  and continuously optimize existing processes.

  ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

  Must have:

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, and several years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer. This position requires a hybrid profile: approximately 50% of the time will be dedicated to acting as a Product Owner/Manager for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and the other 50% will involve active software development of MES solutions.
  • Proven experience in software development with MES platforms.
  • Experience coordinating and managing MES vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and delivery oversight.
  • Expert and good knowledge of MES (e.g. Siemens OpCenter) concepts and products & project execution experience;
  • Good knowledge of C#, .NET, WPF, ASP.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and business processes is mandatory, also MES technologies, e.g. Siemens OPCenter;
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA;
  • SIMATIC IT and standards for data exchange such as OPC UA or comparable are desirable;
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.

  Nice to Have:

  • Good knowledge of databases and reports (SQL server, SSRS), web services (REST/oData/SOAP) and other interface;
  • Experience of automation products such as PCS 7 and SIMATIC Batch.
