  The Raytheon team is looking for a Software Engineer to support our radar programs and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department, in Woburn, Massachusetts.

  What You Will Do:

  Responsible for the execution of engineering scope for the XBR Program. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines used to streamline the software development, build and test process.

  • Implement Python-based, reusable automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.

  • Develop software solutions to increase the speed of software releases.

  • Develop new capabilities to increase test automation and the analysis of radar software logs to provide earlier, more accurate feedback to the development teams about software build health.

  • Leverage industry-leading tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and Artifactory to enhance tool integration and connectivity, leading to streamlined development workflows, increased collaboration, improved code quality, and faster delivery of software products.

  • Support the development of Realtime Agile metrics tracking.

  • Identification and resolution of software problem reports and impediments.

  • Build the team’s abilities, provide technical direction, facilitate the removal of roadblocks and work with both internal and external customers.

  Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

  • Experience in software development using Python, Perl, C, C++, Ada, Java, Jenkins.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experiences with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Git, Git-LFS, MATLAB.

  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment

  • Experience developing with Scrum methodology.

  • Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to complex technical problems.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, cross-team collaboration and training.

  The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
