      Job Title: Test Engineer


      Job Description

      In this role, you will contribute to the development of software and hardware solutions for the functional and diagnostic testing of communication electronic assemblies and test equipment. You will be involved in understanding and capturing customer requirements and defining automation for test scenarios. This position is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of both hardware and software testing principles, familiarity with automation tools and frameworks, and a passion for problem-solving.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform requirements analysis by studying technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to determine test requirements.
      • Assist in designing wiring harnesses and accessories, generating electrical schematics or wire lists, and bills of materials for connecting UUT I/O to test stations.
      • Procure necessary components and materials for test setups.
      • Develop automated test programs to implement defined test requirements, applying stimulus and measuring outputs from UUTs.
      • Utilize revision control software for managing source and document data.
      • Execute manual and automated tests to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability.
      • Analyze test results to identify root causes of failures.
      • Interact with customers as required.

      Essential Skills

      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in coding with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or similar.
      • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment, including RF spectrum analyzers, RF generators, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
      • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
      • Experience in software development and writing automated test programs.
      • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
      • Understanding of networking concepts such as MESH and ADHOC.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with RF test equipment, especially in tactical or airborne radio logistics.
      • Proficiency in MATLAB and LabVIEW.
      • Knowledge of RF measurements and software-defined architectures.
      • Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
      • Experience in developing documentation, including test requirements documents, validation plans, and reports.
      • Familiarity with system internals and proficiency in writing programs for remote radio setups.

      Work Environment

      The work environment operates on a 9/80 schedule. Travel and customer interaction may be required. The team is building an engineering center of excellence in Orlando, FL, with a focus on radio test equipment supporting military applications.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr.
