About the Team
Team comprises of engineers with wide range of Platform services technology skills & vast experience contributing to OS platforms modernization & Infrastructure automation

Job Summary
This job role is primarily responsible for managing compute OS Platforms for around 20k servers adhering to follow-the-sun model . Person will be responsible for engineering automated & self service solutions to support customer requirements & recurring requests. As part of the job role , you will be tasked to work on Infrastructure modernization projects & product developments aligning to Agile working model .

Core Responsibilities
•Unix/Linux OS management
•Implement Automated solutions for recurring OS platform tasks using Shell/Ansible
•Develop APIs for self Service solutions within platform engineering team
•Manage OS Compliance & Minimum Security Baseline guidance
•Follow Agile working model
•Handling on-call support

Years of Experience
2+ years of relevant experience

Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
3-5 years of relevant experience in Engineering platforms

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Unix/Linux Server administration preferably Redhat, Ubuntu
• Hands on experience working cloud platforms preferably GCP , Azure`
• Proven skills in platform modernization & Infrastructure automation tasks
• Should be an expert in OS end issue troubleshooting
• Prior experience working on both Virtual & Physical servers
• Knowledge on Linux Package management , Minimum security baselines , OS hardening .
• Expertise in Scripting, preferably Shell /Python
• Expert in writing Ansible Playbooks , roles , Tower APIs ,AWX
• Creating APIs in Python , Familiar with configuring AWX/Ansible Tower APIs Python APIs
• Candidate should possess good interpersonal communication skills
• Should be familiar with Agile methodologies & working model

Secondary Skills (Desired)
•Knowledge on Docker Containers & Kubernetes
•Basics of Virtualization technologies
