What You’ll Do

• As a software Engineer you will seek significant answers related to Big Data platforms, API development and Data Visualization.
• You will have an opportunity to learn Software Engineering methodologies by being part of an Agile team while being able to provide inputs and own projects from start to finish.
• You will partner with a team of Engineers and have an opportunity to work with Big Data File systems, DB and Messaging frameworks like HDFS, Hbase, NiFi, Kafka etc.
• You will collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners and Technical Owners to translate business requirements and build robust and scalable products.
• This role requires partnering continuously with many stakeholders and global teams daily to stay focused on common goals. This includes coordinating with internal and external teams (onsite/offshore) as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge in Java or Python programming languages.
• Knowledge in C++, C#, Scala is a plus.
• Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Understanding of RDBMS systems and SQL queries.
• Understanding of API and technologies like REST, JSON, XML.
• Familiarity working with distributed systems, big data and large-scale systems.
• Rigor in high quality code, automated testing, and other engineering best practices, ability to write reusable code components.
• Understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Batch will be a plus.
• Willingness to constantly learn and grow.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Team player mindset.
• BS degree in computer science or related field.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
