      Intel IT Product Engineering group is looking for aspiring Software application interns who are passionate about developing application in AI space. As a SW Engineering intern, you'll be part of a small and fast-moving engineering team where you'll have a large impact on exploring AI to support next generation of Intel products.

      In addition to working alongside talented colleagues, you will have many opportunities to learn through coaching and stretch assignment opportunities. You'll be guided by feedback and support to accelerate your learning and maximize your knowledge. You will have an opportunity to engage with Intel experts to shape emerging Intel products.       We work closely together as a team, following an agile development approach with CI/CD driven development and DevOps philosophy. You will be responsible for your own development tasks and participate in the daily development cycle. The mission of this team is to quickly prototype, build and test new technologies and solutions.

      Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

      • Design, code, and test applications

      • Comfortable working in a fast moving agile and DevOps based dynamic product development environment

      • Develop unit tests, automated feature and component tests, and tests integration into product continuous integration environment

      This position is a good match for full stack SW developer career.

      Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

      Qualifications:

      Qualifications – You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

      Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree
      in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent and 3+ months of experience in:

      • SW projects beyond university exercises

      • Writing code in one or more of the following: Python, React, Typescript, JavaScript, Python, Go, C/C++

      • AI, Cloud, Web and Browser technologies

      • This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor's degree with three years related job experience. This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a nonSTEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a bachelor's degree and less than three years' experience.

      • Good communication and teamwork skills

      • The individual must be well organized, methodical, and detail oriented. A self-starter who can identify problems, taking initiative to propose solutions, and successfully executing plans

      • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

      Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

      US, California:$40,000.00-$108,000.00

      S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

      Work Model for this Role

      This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
