Are you enthusiastic about designing innovative solutions to build the future of computing? Come join the Arm Boston (Waltham) Fast Model team and accelerate your engineering skills and knowledge by collaborating on technology that will be relied upon for decades to come. We are a team with diverse career paths and opportunities for personal growth. Our engineers have access to excellent compute hardware and are supported by a dedicated DevOps team.

      Job Description:

Arm designs and validates the new technologies for many markets, from low-power embedded to supercomputers, including machine learning, mobile and IoT. Our simulations of Arm components - known as 'Fast Models' - enable developers to write software without needing access to the hardware (often years before actual hardware exists). Fast Model developers come up with creative and efficient designs to ensure functional correctness against hardware specification.

      Responsibilities:

      • Learn about architectures and hardware designs while they are in development
      • Implement and test modern C++ fast models of Arm interconnect IP
      • Deliver iterative and incremental models that meet our partners' interconnect requirements
      • Work closely with architects and hardware engineers to achieve our goals
      • Improve Arm's designs with your feedback
      • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvement initiatives
      • Apply your creativity to improve the code, which involves actively participating in peer code and design reviews

      Required Skills and Experience:

      • 1-3 years proven experience with proficiency in C++ programming
      • An interest in computer architecture and learning new technologies
      • Growth mindset and dedication to continuous improvement
      • Passion for developing and applying critical thinking and problem solving skills
      • Effective communication skills, sharing information in a clear and concise manner
      • An affinity for the Arm Core Values, including an intention to incorporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in every aspect of work

“Nice To Have” Skills / Experience:

      • Familiarity with computer architecture
      • Experience with Test Driven development or testing frameworks
      • Experience with python automation or equivalent high-level language
      • Any use of modeling technologies, such as SystemC

      In Return

We are proud to have a set of behaviors that reflect our culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together. These behaviors are assessed as part of the hiring process:

      • Partner and customer focus
      • Teamwork and communication
      • Creativity and innovation
      • Team and personal development
      • Impact and influence
      • Deliver on your promises

In addition, you will also be rewarded with a competitive base salary, an annual bonus, RSUs, 401k matching, an excellent PTO allowance as well as family bonding time and competitive benefits. We also pride ourselves on our work life balance with quarterly days of care!
