Knowledge of SW development life cycle and processes

Ability to communicate and collaborate with other software engineers and systems engineers
Excellent communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation
Some experience with C/C++ and/or Java programming
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related field.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Experience with Windows and Linux software development
Working knowledge of agile scrum
Experience with JavaScript, HTML 5, and shell scripting (e.g., Perl, bash, etc.)
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
Experience with eggPlant, VectorCAST, JUnit, and Jtest and other automation tools
Experience with VxWorks and Wind River Workbench and embedded real-time systems
Familiar with ClearCase, ClearQuest, and Eclipse
Background check and drug screen required (every external new hire in the U.S.)
Drug Screen only performed on re-hires who have been gone for more than 1 year

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024.
The Air Traffic Systems (ATS) Software (SW) Department within the RTX Collins Aerospace Connected Airspace Systems Software Engineering directorate is seeking qualified summer interns to support programs in the Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) systems domain. SBAS is a safety-of-life satellite augmentation system. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Working in a team environment to design, code, test, document, and deliver new/modified functionality.
Coordinating with developers, testers, release engineers, and engineers from other disciplines (e.g, Systems, Hardware) to ensure successful integration with other software components.
