What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Partner with application owners and business partners to develop long and short-range technical solutions
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities including Sprint Planning, Grooming, and Reviews
- Oversee end-to-end application development, including production deployment and operationalization
- Develop applications and web services using Spring Boot, GCP, REST API, and other tech stacks
- Monitor application health and support triage of production issues as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 7+ years of Java software development, requirement analysis, and design experience
- 5+ years of experience in product engineering leadership roles
- 5+ years of experience working in IT projects using Agile development methodologies
- 3+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, specifically Azure or GCP
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Strong desire to mentor and coach other engineers through pair programming
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
- Strong understanding of observability and using telemetry for decision-making
- Domain experience within retail or eCommerce
