      As a Software Engineering Senior Manager, the individual will lead to design, build, test, and deliver large-scale global software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies. As a key leader in the organization, this individual will need to partner closely with the technology, operations, product, and innovation teams. The successful candidate will be a self-directed, proactive individual who brings a natural intellectual curiosity and appetite for action to the role and is comfortable with a fast-paced, changing environment. Candidates must be able to collaborate on the development of their strategies and be able to demonstrate successful outcomes influencing in a matrixed environment. The senior manager will also oversee 4+ Agile teams.

      Responsibilities:

      • Oversee and provide Day-to-Day leadership for the engineering teams and establish engineering excellence and best practices.

      • Lead a team of software development engineers, Scrum Masters, and testing engineers to implement consistent software development practices and processes that drive results and create value.

      • Define objectives, responsibilities, and development plans for team members.

      • Create a culture that fosters continuous learning, innovation, and value creation.

      • Actively participate in system design, interface design, and validation of technology options and assumptions within the framework of our Agile Release Train.

      • Work with product management, architecture, business teams, and other leaders to deliver on the requirements and business strategy.

      • Responsible for implementing agile processes and increasing the team’s agile fluency through coaching the team on agile practices in their work and mentoring the team.

      • Identify technology trends and make recommendations for the development of overall IT strategy to move the portfolio forward.

      • Maturing the iterative development process and overall Agile/Scrum maturity of the team and organization

      Required Skills

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, MIS, or other related field, or equivalent work experience

      • Experience designing, developing, and supporting technology decisions within various technologies including, JAVA, Angular, Oracle, PL/SQL, DB2, ETL Tools, RESTful/SOA Services, AWS.

      • Proficiency with Agile delivery and the SAFe framework, ideally in-tune with its leverage within a Fortune 20 IT environment

      • Demonstrated acumen with the following key skills:

        • Influencing skills (achieving buy-in for delivery strategies across business and IT audiences)

        • Business acumen (able to effectively articulate business objectives and tie IT solutions to business outcomes)

        • Very strong analytical skills (technical options analysis, decision-making frameworks, business functional and technical analysis)

        • Quick learner (effective under pressure, able to efficiently impart knowledge to others)

        • Communication skills (ability to project clarity and precision in verbal and written communication, presentations before senior audiences)

        • Demonstrated comfort with core project management skills (project planning, scope management, issue and risk management, resource planning, financial management, etc.)

        • Generally: an ability to focus on multiple priorities, to be a strong team player within a group with multiple opinions, to be versatile in operating, resourceful in problem-solving, flexible/adaptable to meet the needs of the situation
