      Responsibilities include:

      1. Prepare devices for testing with appropriate software/OS versions.
      2. Execute test cases on POS devices using TestRail.
      3. Log bugs in Jira, assign them to the appropriate teams, and track fixes.
      4. Retest bug fixes and update statuses promptly.
      5. Understand the release cycle and prioritize tasks accordingly to support timely releases.
      6. Evaluate product risk at various stages of development, deployment, and use.
      7. Define and oversee the execution of a comprehensive validation strategy (manual and automated) for platform software on hardware devices.
      8. Work across the stack to become an expert on application, system, and firmware integrations.
      9. Collaborate with multiple development teams to influence software architecture and design for improved validation coverage.
      10. Champion excellent customer experiences through product and process improvements.
      11. Lead and guide junior/mid-level testers on device testing.
      12. Identify, classify, prioritize, and drive issue resolution across multiple products/releases.
      13. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and innovative techniques for uncovering hardware, firmware, and software issues.

      Skills Required:

      • Minimum 5 years of strong manual testing experience.
      • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
      • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or C++) and solid understanding of OOP concepts.
      • Experience in verification, validation, and/or software engineering for consumer electronic devices.
      • Proven ability to develop validation strategies for complex functionality in electronic devices.
      • Fluency with Android devices including the use of ADB commands and performing software updates.
      • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
      • Proven experience in working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.

      Qualifications & Experience:

      • Degree in Science or Engineering.
      • 5-8 years of QA/Testing experience.
      • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electronic device software testing.
