      Position: Software Support Engineer

      Duties: Ensure that our systems function properly through software testing and ensure customers are using our systems correctly by providing technical support. Install, maintain, and support carrier acceptance test (CAT) systems, protocol conformance test (PCT) systems, and rapid test deployment (RTD) systems. Perform interoperability testing to ensure our systems can inter-operate with the users' systems to communicate and exchange data accurately, effectively, and consistently, and use the information that has been exchanged. Perform test case execution and debug with company products, prototypes, and commercial user equipment (UE) devices. Provide Tier 1 technical support to users for systems such as our ME7834LA Mobile Device test Platform and our 5G NR Mobile Device Test Platform ME7834NR that supports both PCT and CAT for UE manufacturers and test houses. Provide Tier 1 technical support to users for our MD8430 Signaling Tester that provides cutting-edge test capabilities. Analyze the users' needs and determine the technical solutions to meet those needs. Verify the users' hardware and software setup, manage the users' technical issues (e.g. software installation, reinstallation and uninstallation issues), perform log analysis to make sense out of computer-generated records, and deliver those technical solutions. Prioritize bug ("software defect") fixes and new features, review technical documentation, and monitor product release schedules. Prepare internal and external training materials and perform system set up for customers and lead customer-facing training sessions when required to ensure customers are using the systems correctly.

      Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.

      Experience Required: 2 years of experience as RF Engineer, LTE Test Engineer, Quality Analyst, or related occupation.

      Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:

      1. Installing, maintaining, and supporting carrier acceptance testing using CATCS, SIDE, PCT or RTD.
      2. Analysis of QXDM (using QCAT) and Wireshark logs to identify the failures/issues.
      3. Tracking and solving customer issues with the help of Salesforce or JIRA bug tracking tools.
      4. Maintaining specific log tracing as per original equipment manufacturer (OEM) using ELT, or Shannon DM.
      5. Working on Plug-in Host, Tera Term, Hyper terminal or Putty for Modem communication and AT Commands.

      Position permits telecommuting, applicant may reside anywhere in U.S and reports to Morgan Hill, CA.
      Position requires 25% travel, fully reimbursed by employer.

      Salary: $135,283 - $188,203 per year
