      We’re looking for a Software Team Manager to lead an engineering team in developing APIs that help employers provide financial protection and services for their employees. Your leadership will ensure our systems are efficient, reliable, and easy to use, helping employers manage their employee’s benefits smoothly.       WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

      • Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $165,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
      • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
      • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
      • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
      • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

      WHAT YOU'LL DO:

      • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a diverse team of software engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
      • Technology Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of APIs that meet and exceed customer expectations, ensuring system availability and performance.
      • Service Delivery: Champion SAFe Agile principles and manage the Software Development Life Cycle, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
      • Partner Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders, ensuring technology initiatives align with business needs and objectives.
      • Vendor Management: Lead contracting efforts with external vendors, ensuring that agreements support our business goals and protect our interests.
      • Talent Development: Promote the continuous development of engineering skills, leadership abilities, and business acumen within your team.

      WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

      • 3 or more years of software team leadership experience.
      • 5 or more years of progressive professional information systems experience.
      • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong communication and leadership skills.
      • Experience in Agile practices and managing software development projects.
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
      • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
      • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and in a listed location.

      PREFERRED:

      • Background in API development and integration
      • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
      • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
