      The Software User Experience Specialist role will be responsible for user experience and user interface design for the Solid Edge Portfolio of products. This position is on the Solid Edge Product Planning and Design team, part of Mainstream Engineering Division within Siemens. This is an individual contributor role who will be working with a cross-functional team from across the globe to support the development of Siemens Digital Software products.

      What will you do in this role?
      • Plan and conduct end-to-end UX design and research activities to support the development of Siemens Digital Software products.
      • Convey software product concepts through wireframes, flows and mockups and transform them into pleasing and efficient interfaces and experiences based on Siemens’ UX policies.
      • Develop user interface specifications, such as personas, interaction design, workflows, and prototypes.
      • Work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to realize products and services.
      • Follow latest trends in interaction design, tools, and methods to advise the product teams.
      • Design graphics for products and supporting materials.
      • Conduct UX research and evaluation methods, such as interviews, surveys, heuristic evaluation, and user testing.
      • Manage projects with tight timelines through completion and report to stakeholders.
      Who are we looking for?
      • A motivated and creative individual who has a passion for UX & UI, with a design aesthetic and attention to detail.
      • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic, product, industrial design, or related areas.
      • 3+ years of experience in the field of UX & UI design.
      • Must have strong interaction and visual design skills with the ability to design quality graphical user interfaces. Experience building wireframe, flow, user interfaces, fonts and brands is required. A design portfolio that demonstrates solid knowledge of UX and design principles would be a plus.
      • Creative and analytic thinking skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and an aptitude to relate to customers and users.
      • Positive and energetic attitude with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects and to effectively communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
      • Develop user interface specifications, such as personas, interaction design, workflows, and prototypes.
      • Proficiency in a variety of design and prototyping tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin, Axure or Figma, is required. Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & Excel to communicate ideas and requirements.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows UI tools in Visual Studio, MFC, WPF, Blend for desktop, mobile or web interfaces is desirable.
      • Knowledge of software life cycle methods or experience working on an Agile/Scrum team will be a plus.
      • Professional experience designing interactive software applications such as graphics design systems, computer aided design/drawing software, computer gaming software etc., including web or mobile applications, will be an advantage.

      Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. The salary range for this position is $78,500 to $141,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
