We are looking for two Software Developers to join our team in the Cloud Center of Excellence.

Location : The preferred location for this position is in Helsinki, Finland, or Vaasa, Finland. Remote work is also possible.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will be part of a team providing developer services in Wärtsilä.

This position requires a hands-on approach to shape the role and ensure best practices and guidelines are available, up-to-date, and applied to add business value. To succeed in the position we would expect you to be an expert in your field and show a passionate interest and attitude toward cloud-native development.

Requirements for the position

• Hands-on software development experience with modern software development languages and frameworks. JavaScript (React), Python, and Java experience are considered as an advantage.
• Experience with integration technologies (REST).
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD (Atlassian) practices of deploying frontend and backend applications.
• Experience with DevOps practices.
• Self-driven, supportive, analytical, and goal-focused, with a can-do attitude.
• Keen interest in new frameworks and programming languages.
• Bachelor-level studies in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working in cross-functional and international teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Excellent language skills, fluent written and oral English.
