- Create and document solution designs and analysis based on the translation of business and technical requirements.
- Works to enhance business efficiency, customer satisfaction, teamwork, and reduce overall enterprise cost, ensuring support of business requirements throughout the Products lifecycle
- Monitors current solutions to ensure continual alignment with business value over time
- Responsible for the overall product/service lifecycle and end of life decisions including being a lead technical contact with vendors to manage agreements and licensing.
- Leads evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of solutions across defined technologies.
- Actively participants in the architecture governance processes to ensure adherence to standards, principles, guidelines, and solution patterns
- Develops and presents strategic roadmaps for the solutions
- Assess Technology, monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements and understand emerging technology trends and disruptions and their practical application
- Actively identify opportunities and/or gaps that exist between current state and the target state architecture, and establish plans, including level of effort, cost, duration, and risks to closing the gaps and/or capitalizing on the opportunities identified
- Develop and maintain current and future state architecture models
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering)
- 7+ years of experience within information technology solution
- 5+ years of experience supporting Product development and engineering customers
- Certifications or training relative to key application development areas. Azure Dev Ops, .NET, java, Docker, Agile/Scrum, Lo-Code/No-code, etc.
- Demonstrated skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
- Documented experience leading technical teams and projects deploying enterprise level technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience as a technical resource on a Product and/or Project team
- Experience working with IT service providers in an outsourced model.
- Experience with industry standard methodologies and frameworks, such as but not limited to AGILE, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, PMI, etc.
- Experience with managing and deploying Product Engineering and development applications and services such as Team Center, UG, FMEA, Modeling, and analysis tools.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure and services, SAP, system integrations, access management and governance controls

Job Description:
The Solution Architect (SA) will provide leadership and guidance for development of a portfolio of IT solutions. Solutions include projects and products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. This shall be done in a proactive and holistic manner that supports the enterprise architecture, business needs and aligns with architectural governance and standards. The SA shall understand concepts such as, business goals, capabilities, processes, and value and be able to translate those into solution architectures. The SA will build deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of current state and future state technology solutions related to their domain and participate on or lead the product teams for these solutions. This role will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle and evolution for technical solutions in their domain. The domain of applications will be supporting Allison Transmissions Product Engineering group.
