Summary
The Solution Engineer (SE) is responsible for conducting client deep dives during the Sales process. They will evaluate and document clients’ current tech stacks, workflows, SOPs, and pain points with their current Property Management system for use in the implementation process. During the demo and deep dive process, the SE will identify areas of improvements and any trade-offs or gaps that might exist with implementing Track. The SE will use their sales prowess and technical knowledge to translate client needs into formal high-level specs for complex technical systems and estimating the work effort needed to complete those specs. The SE will also scope continuous optimization opportunities with current Track customers. They will work to identify ways to improve business processes in Track, document the optimizations, translate them into a scope of work, and estimate the effort to complete those opportunities.
This position will require up to 35% travel and hours will vary depending on client schedules and availability.
Responsibilities
Conduct client deep dives, and demonstrate and highlight theTrack platform
Deliver implementation and consulting services, to meet the Track design and deliverables
Create high-level project Scopes of Work and hours estimates to be used by sales and by professional services
Own and resolve complex customer-reported product escalation issues
Support Customer Success and Account Management by creating client facing and internal documentation
Conduct technical health checks to ensure optimal platform performance, configuration, and utilization; flag potential technical challenges
Serve as a liaison between the customer and the Track Professional Services team before and during the implementation, while identifying opportunities for technical training, configuration adjustments, and continuous optimization for existing customers
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Track sales team and other departments
Identify additional needs within the client’s environment that can be resolved with Track solutions
Inform customers of new features and help integrating them into their workflows for enhanced efficiency
Serve a subject matter expert on Track during the sales process, and cross-functionally
Be the API subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders; provide API-related support via ticketing system and/or other escalation methods for customers, integrated partners, and internal stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Sales: Support pre-sales activities as needed net-new sales
Customer Success: Ensure the technical success of customers, assist with technical escalations, and support growth initiatives. Facilitate bi-weekly Office Hours and prepare business review presentations.
Support: Collaborate to resolve escalated tickets and ensure a smooth issue resolution process for technical challenges
Partners: Provide API-related support and product-related knowledge to integrated partners as needed
Product/Engineering: Share customer feedback, participate in technical discovery sessions, and collaborate on product improvements.
Professional Services: Identify training opportunities, technical configurations, and ongoing optimization efforts for customers.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of technology experience in sales engineering and implementationUnderstanding of TrackSuite: TrackPMS, Track Pulse, TrackRevenue, TrackDistribution, and Track eCommerce
Proven experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques, and process improvement approaches
High dynamic range in work output, from strategic thought through operational implementation
Demonstrated capability as a hands-on team player
Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and written/verbal communications
Extensive understanding of sales methodologies
Demonstrated capability in learning and communicating new technologies and solutions
Excellent personal organization and ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks
Comfortable working without routine supervision
Adept problem solving and analytical skills
Able to quickly adapt to new technologies and concepts in an evolving business environment
Proficient understanding of the Vacation Rental industry
Resilience, flexibility, and eagerness to try innovative approaches
Positive and focused attitude coupled with a great work ethic, and a desire to grow and learn new things
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent preferred

Compensation:
The typical starting salary range for this position is: $80-90k.
The actual salary offer will consider multiple factors, including skills, experience, education, and location. Please note that the salary reflects the base amount only and does not include total compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and benefits.
