      Due to growth, we are looking for a Solution Owner (Energy Transition) to join our vibrant team based in Manchester, London or Maidenhead.

      As a Solution Owner – Energy Transition, you will focus on the emerging markets associated with the decarbonisation agenda for example H2, CO2, sustainable aviation fuels. You will cultivate deep insights in the Energy Transition space and will convert these to tangible opportunities and successful contracts in line with the sector’s three year business plan.

We support clients through the whole project lifecycle, from identification of a problem and concept development, through design and into delivery.       The Business Winning team will be responsible for all work winning across the sector, from concept through to contract. The team will adopt a solutions mindset – understanding clients’ needs, shaping discussions, offering solutions in line with Strategy and Capabilities across the Costain group, delivering bids and handing over for execution.       Role Requirement

      • Degree in relevant discipline, 10 to 15 years experience (desirable). Hold or seek Membership of Professional Industry Bodies (IChemE, Energy Institute, ICE) and actively engage.
      • Strategy & Plans: Develop deep insight into the Energy Transition market in the context of Costain’s services and value proposition within that market. Build these insights into the sector work winning plan.
      • Customers & Markets: Establishes and maintains trusted, long term relationships with clients, strategic partners, and other industry contacts.
      • Delivery: You will lead Costain’s tender responses for Energy Transition, motivating and leading the bid organisation to produce high quality, differentiated, commercially compelling bid submissions for our clients. You will develop and own the client value proposition and win themes working with the team to articulate these within in our written responses and contributing written inputs and content to our proposal responses.

      Working arrangement: This is a home based, hybrid role with 2-3 days based in our office in London, Manchester or Maidenhead.

      This position has a competitive salary dependent on skills and experience, in addition to a fantastic benefits package including pension contribution matched up to 10%, a day off for your birthday and a dedicated professional development budget.
