- Translate business requirements into well-documented technical requirements
- Develop Data Exchange specifications and data models. -Design and develop cloud based software solutions
- Implements System Architecture design (compute, hardware/virtual, OS, storage, networking, security)
- Contributor to the development of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CICD) processes using DevOps and DevSecOps principles.
- Implementer of Architecture as Code
- Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm development Linux, SELinux, and Ansible infrastructure maintenance
- Virtual machine management.
- Participate in Risk Management Framework for software development
- Installation and Maintenance of Linux Environments
- Configuration Management
- Design and Build Secure Infrastructure
- Solve Networking Issues
- Code Review
- Work with Source Control Tools
- Remediate Security Findings
- Provisioning and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Strong scripting skills in bash or python
- Networking enterprise systems
- Experience using Ansible and Terraform
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 compliance
- Ability to acquire new skills efficiently
- Thrives in a collaborative environment
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience writing and debugging Security Enhanced Linux Policy
- Familiarity with Object Oriented Principles
- 2 years of C# or Java development experience

Project/Unit Description
The Secure Information Systems Division (SIS) within the Cybersecurity, Information Protection, and Hardware Evaluation Research Laboratory (CIPHER) is looking to hire a Solution Architect for a project revolving around secure information and application development.
Job Purpose
The Solution Architect defines, conceptualizes, describes, and manages an engineering solution specific to the enterprise system. Responsible for understanding the architecture, design, and development of software built for sponsors and running on secure cloud computing networks, specifically focusing on fully automated deployments. Additional responsibilities include understanding how integration with third-party software vendors will impact the system and providing guidance on impact to the enterprise. This position will interact with government sponsors and government technical experts to translate business requirements into technical requirements and provide guidance to technical teams for the execution of requirements.
