      Nokia of America Corporation, Solutions Architect (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ.

      Qualifications

      Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience (of which 5 years must be post-bachelor’s, progressive). Or a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

      Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following:

      • Call flow for LTE and 5GSA;
      • Data Collection and Retrieval procedures on live systems;
      • OpenStack, VMware, and VIO (VMWARE Integrated OpenStack);
      • Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible;
      • and Designing container-based CMG (SMF/UPF) on AWS, Google Anthos, or Redhat OpenShift.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform deployment and integration of Cloud Packet Core between other network elements and provide support for Nokia EPC (Evolved Packet Core) & NGC (Next Generation Core) Software Validation and Regression.
      • Deploy, commission, integration, and troubleshoot of virtualized or cloud solutions Packet Core products. Assist with regression testing after SWUP (Software Update), Feature Validation, and KPI analysis reports after FOA.
      • Perform lifecycle management via CBAM (Cloud band application Manager) /NCOM(Nokia Cloud Operations Manager) implementing SW changes.
      • Strategize/design new Network Functions Visualization Offerings and Orchestrated Services while working for service incubation and contributing to Opensource and on Clouds.
      • Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.
      • Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI

      Domestic travel up to 20% required.

      Telecommuting may be permitted up to 100% anywhere in the U.S.

      Nokia’s transition to a primary focus on telecommunications began in the 1990s. The first GSM call was made in 1991 using Nokia equipment.
