      Who you are

      You are a strategic technology leader with advanced technical expertise and strong business acumen to play a pivotal role in designing, presenting, and delivering technology solutions that address our clients’ most critical IT challenges. This role blends deep technical knowledge with long-term, sales-focused planning and the ability to connect technology solutions to business goals. You’ll lead client-facing discussions and collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and service delivery teams to shape compelling managed service offerings that deliver long-term value.

      You know how to:

      • Engage with mid-market and enterprise customers to understand business objectives, current-state infrastructure, and technology pain points.
      • Architect tailored solutions across NexusTek’s managed service portfolio: Managed Cloud (Private Cloud, Azure, AWS, GCP), Managed Security (MDR, SOC, XDR), Hybrid Infrastructure, Networking, and AI-powered IT services.
      • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to scope and price solutions that align with operational capabilities and margin targets.
      • Craft and deliver persuasive client-facing presentations, technical deep dives, and solution overviews to influence buying decisions.
      • Author and review Statements of Work (SOWs), technical designs, and projects.
      • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to influence product roadmap discussions and client recommendations.
      • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders throughout the pre- sales lifecycle and into delivery phases.
      • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering team members to advise on complex technology solutions, statements of work, and quarterly business reviews.
      • Evaluate and combine products and solutions for clients from our preferred vendors.
      • Partner with the Account Executives and Sales Operations teams to deliver excellent service to current and prospective clients.
      • Accountable for the analysis, preparation, and delivery of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) for each managed client in the assigned portfolio.
      • Create technical plans and budgets that map to the client or prospective clients’ business goals.
      • Educate the internal teams and external customers on best practices and solution capabilities.
      • Support effort to grow our technical and business partners relationships.
      • Ensure ongoing satisfaction with and eventual realization of solutions and products that were articulated during the sales and onboarding process.

      Proficiencies:

      • 7+ years of experience in a solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, or senior systems engineer role within an MSP or IT services organization.
      • Deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking, and security solutions.
      • Proven experience designing managed services solutions, including subscription-based service models and IT outsourcing.
      • Strong financial acumen in scoping deals, understanding TCO/ROI, and aligning technical designs with client budgets.
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value for executives and IT stakeholders.
      • Must be comfortable and articulate in client-facing situations and confident in presenting in illustrative formats including effective whiteboard presentations.
      • Must be highly detailed with the ability to ask the right questions, articulate how the technology works together and establish solutions that fit the client’s budget.
      • Experience in developing detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans including Statement of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) is desirable.

      Certifications:

      • Industry certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.).

      Pay and Benefits:

      This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely with some travel.

      Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $140,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually , less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role. Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)

      In addition to the base salary this position offers sales incentives as On Target Earnings or OTE (OTE = base salary + sales incentives/commissions)

      The expected commission for this role is ~$30,000.00 - $40,000.00

      • Interview One: 1-hour technical and soft-skills interview with the hiring manager (virtual)
      • Interview Two: 1-hour interview with a VP-level team member (virtual)
      • Interview Three: 1-hour interview with a VP-level team member (virtual)
      • 30-minute pitch presentation (details will be provided if you proceed through the third interview)
      • References – 3 professional references at least one direct supervisor
