      WHAT YOU’LL DO

      The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing comprehensive pre-sales technical consulting support for all types of enterprise managed network solutions. Activities include but are not limited to: Evaluating customer needs and requirements (both business and technical) through discovery meetings and/or calls, solution architecting, technical writing, proposal generation, interdepartmental coordination, and customer presentations. The primary role is to assist Sales in maximizing Revenues by designing Solutions that best leverage SageNet’s capabilities to solve business and technical problems for our customers.

      Major duties and responsibilities:

      • Responsible for technical relationships with customers
      • Establish and maintain key technical relationships with potential and existing accounts
      • Lead pre-sale discovery and technical communications with customers
      • Engage potential and existing customers to determine needs and requirements for network services (both from a business and technical standpoint)
      • Act as subject matter expert on SageNet services and equipment offerings
      • Act as the Lead Architect for custom solutions
      • Responsible for developing complete solutions based on knowledge of existing products and services, as well as future roadmap
      • Perform due diligence on overall solution including technical and business requirements and company risk analysis
      • Help determine solution cost items and provide documentation of proposed custom solutions
      • Validate operational feasibility of proposed solution with internal resources
      • Clearly communicate technical superiority of proposed SageNet solution
      • Document, drive and complete all account supporting deliverables
      • Co-develop pricing and ROI strategy with Account Manager
      • Effectively engage company resources in all departments to develop high quality RFP/RFI/RFQ responses
      • Responsible for assisting in the collection of RFI/RFP/RFQ responses from Operations, Engineering, etc.
      • Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers
      • Assist in development of proposals, pricing, technical white papers, application notes, test plans and feedback reports
      • Work hand in hand with Sales to close deals
      • Team with Account Managers to develop account strategies
      • Work hand in hand with Product Management Team to determine feasibility of new products and services
      • Create quality relationships with current suppliers and partners, while also being aware and educated on new technologies that are affecting the market space
      • Act as a source of knowledge for creating new solutions based on new products in the market
      • Simplify or streamline current SageNet delivery of customer solutions

      WHO YOU ARE

      Key Qualifications

      • Minimum 15 years’ technical pre-sales technical experience supporting network service delivery offerings to large enterprise customers
      • Strong business and technical acumen
      • Strong listening and observational skills
      • Strong analytical ability
      • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
      • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing and concepts
      • In-depth knowledge of enterprise applications commonly operating in WAN environment
      • Ability to qualify and design detailed network solutions
      • Ability to establish and build relationships in large IT organizations
      • Ability and strong desire to quickly learn new concepts and ideas
      • Ability to develop creative solutions for new opportunities
      • Experience with developing network architectures using Cisco, Meraki and/or Fortinet equipment strongly desired
      • Experience with a variety of access technologies such as Cellular, Satellite services, Broadband and High-Capacity solutions strongly desired
      • Hands-on experience with configuration and management of networking equipment a plus
      • Ability to travel
      • College degree: Engineering or Computer Science preferred
      • Cisco professional certification strongly desired

      Special Working Conditions:

      • Work productively in a corporate office space, remotely, or while travelling to customer sites
      • Business casual in office, and business professional in front of customers
      • This position will report to an office and will be part of a larger team atmosphere.
      • Requires some nights, weekends, and overnight travel
      • Up to 25% travel, so ability to travel that extensively, and be in planes without issues is required

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Be able to sit for long periods of time without issues
      • Be able to stand for long periods of time while giving presentations
      • Ability to participate in some physically demanding situations such as tradeshow assemblies, equipment installation, etc.
      • Extensive use of hands and fingers for typing, handling baggage, and paperwork
      • Extensive use of eyes for reviewing contracts and data on a computer screen or in physical form
      • Up to 25% travel, so ability to travel that extensively, and be in planes without issues is required
