What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead, develop, and grow a team of Solutions Engineers
- Create a collaborative culture to drive technical sales and long-term customer success
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the SE craft and excellence level
- Coach Solutions Engineers to be technical advisors and expert generalists on the Shopify platform
- Identify opportunities to scale the impact of the Solutions Engineering teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong technical background with experience in R&D, sales, or customer-facing roles
- Clear understanding of metrics-based performance coaching
- Experience working as a Solutions Engineer individual contributor or leader
- Comfortable with the pre-sales process and working closely with sales teams
- Ability to speak confidently about Shopify's platform, roadmap, and major tech partners
