  Sourcing Specialist

  Yes? We invite you to check out this exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Specialist. This is a hybrid position out of our office in Wauconda, IL, requiring 1-2 days of work onsite weekly after onboarding.

  As a Sourcing Specialist you will assist our Product Management Department with identifying the best manufacturing partners for our business. This includes sourcing, evaluating, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for cost and performance improvements.

  • Leads new product sourcing initiatives including identifying suppliers, evaluating product offerings, service, and cost, presenting business case to leadership, and assisting with the implementation process.
  • Conducts reviews of existing supplier partnerships, including evaluating cost and performance relative to other potential suppliers. Assisting with transition to new partners when deemed appropriate.
  • Develops a solid understanding of the operational needs through product manufacturing and validation, as well as partnering with the team to achieve objectives relative to cost and performance.
  • Responsible for validating the products, monitoring the machining processes, and coordinating or executing dimensional or metallurgical inspections.

  
  

  What you need:

  • Associates Degree in a related field required - Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain management.
  • Manufacturing industry experience, including machinery knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in sourcing, conducting RFQs or equivalent evaluations, negotiating, and monitoring KPIs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manufacturing drawings.
  • Understanding of quality control and use of inspection equipment.
  • Supplier relations experience.
  • MS Office Skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • CAD software (SolidWorks or NX) experience is preferred

  The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position
  
  $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annual
