      Position overview

      Are you interested in learning more about Procurement in the world leading industrial coating resins company? We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team. You will primarily work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to provide materials at best TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and to minimize inventory where possible while keeping defined service levels. You will also manage local relationships with plant managers, maintenance managers and operational people.

      Responsibilities

      • Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, co-develop, maintain and execute sourcing strategy and roadmap.
      • Manage supplier relationships including supporting regular business reviews, identifying opportunities to improve delivery and performance, and driving excellence and flexibility and optimize commercial opportunities.
      • Identify and lead the mitigation of risks in the supply network.
      • Support and deploy processes and policies, utilize data-driven decision techniques.
      • Structure purchase agreements for quality, delivery, compliance, and cost objectives.
      • Responsible for long term assurance of supply, supplier performance and selection, supply management information/data management.
      • Lead contract and price negotiations for the assigned raw material / supplier portfolio to meet saving target.
      • Ensure frequent communication with internal customers, suppliers to update raw material price information and define the cost-effective pricing structure.
      • Work closely with multiple teams such as but not limited to Maintenance managers, Logistics, Supply Chain or Production to meet business requirement or any new project target.

      Required skills and experience

      • Minimum 2 years of proven success in operating in an international company in sourcing or procurement role (experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting is a plus).
      • Strong command and understanding of fundamental analytical techniques, and ability to accurately draw conclusions and interpret data.
      • Strong communicator, demonstrated presenting and interpersonal skills.
      • Expertise with the assimilation of large volumes of raw data, understand, analyze, and present the various elements of complex purchasing

      Qualifications

      • Higher education with preferred Master Degree in Economics, Engineering and/or MBA.
      • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
      • Fluent in English and proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.
      • Exposure to Ariba E-Sourcing and Reverse Auction preferred.
