Job summary
The role of Sous Chef at Gildawood Court, a 60-bedded Residential, Dementia and Palliative Care Home in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, offers an opportunity to work in a well-established and highly rated care home. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in creating fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best quality ingredients, while also leading by example and showcasing their creative flair in the kitchen.
Main duties of the job
As a Sous Chef at Gildawood Court, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for the residents. This will involve working closely with the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared to the highest standards, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, mentoring and supporting the kitchen staff, and contributing to the development of the in-house Chef Academy.
