      Sterling Grove Golf and Country Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of part-time Spa and Fitness Receptionist. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to our members.

      General Purpose:
      Monitors daily activity of the fitness center and or spa area; ensures guest satisfaction and compliance with rules and procedures.

      Essential Duties:

      • Greets members upon arrival and departure to the fitness + spa center.
      • Checks member identification card and validates guest participation.
      • Distributes and controls locker keys.
      • Signs in members and guests, advising them of rules and procedures of the fitness center.
      • Performs opening and closing duties at fitness + spa center when required.
      • Answers phone and guest inquiries.
      • Operates computer accurately and properly books all appointments when scheduled. Handles daily point of sale transactions. And records all cash, check and charges based on established cash control procedures.
      • Attends staff meetings.
      • Responsible for ensuring overall cleanliness of all area. (i.e., wiping fitness equipment, organizing equipment, walking pool area, tack room and spa.)
      • Flexible hours to include AM, PM, holidays and weekends.
      • Assist with fitness + spa inventory when required.
      • Daily stocking of retail items.
      • Reports safety concerns to supervisor.
      • Responds to emergency situations, as dictated by facility policy. (incident reports)
      • Maintains up to date knowledge of department programs, events, activities, spa/fitness menu and activities. Answers members’ questions regarding such programs.
      • Proper dress (uniform), hair and shoes neat.
      • Regular and reliable attendance.
      • Performs other duties as required.


      Education/Experience:

      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.


      Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

      • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
