      Job Title: Space System Integration and Test Engineer


      Job Description

      We are looking for a Space System Integration and Test Engineer to provide leadership in system integration and testing for various components such as satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, and custom terminals. You will be responsible for designing test plans and procedures to ensure performance meets customer requirements and for creating algorithms and scripts for lab and field evaluations.

      Responsibilities

      • Provide system integration and test leadership for satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, and custom terminals.
      • Develop system-level test design expertise for various products and services.
      • Specify and develop integration and test plans to validate performance against requirements.
      • Create test algorithms, test scripts, and calibration routines for evaluations.
      • Analyze test data and collaborate with teams to improve product performance.
      • Design and validate mechanical, optical, and electrical support equipment.
      • Prepare reports documenting test results and communicate effectively with developers and managers.
      • Manage and track test anomalies, defects, and bugs, and implement improvements in control systems.

      Essential Skills

      • 5+ years of experience in space vehicle, bus, RF payload, or optical payload integration and testing.
      • 5+ years of developing space or communication system test requirements, plans, and procedures.
      • 4+ years of coding experience in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, Docker, Rust on Linux platforms.
      • Experience with satellite communications payloads, optical communications payloads, and spacecraft buses.
      • Experience in developing and reviewing requirements for various test phases.
      • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
      • Understanding of system engineering test fundamentals.
      • Experience with test automation and optimization using Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, C/C++, Docker, Rust on Linux.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with developing automated test systems.
      • Experience writing end-to-end and integration test plans.
      • Experience with communication and electrical system test equipment.
      • Experience developing calibration procedures and conducting incoming calibration checks.

      Work Environment

      This role requires working onsite in Northridge, CA, where you will be part of a dynamic team focused on low orbiting satellite payload development.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
