      About the workplace

      This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to come in-office at least once a week.

Use these skills to provide our members with solutions to support their short and long-term financial well-being while minimizing risk to Vancity.

      As a Special Accounts, Specialist III you will demonstrate excellence in customer service through solid communication and interpersonal skills as you engage with our membership. By demonstrating your subject matter expertise in the financial industry you will build trust with our members and be able to ask exploratory questions to uncover, propose and execute creative solutions. By working collaboratively with our members you will provide best advice and create plans to help them overcome financial obstacles while minimizing risk to Vancity.

      A typical day would involve:

      • Assess current financial situation of members in order to provide sound advice and support while maintaining member files according to established guidelines.
      • Reviewing member profiles and recommend optimal recovery solutions which include negotiation of payment arrangements, restructure, litigation, and write-offs to achieve maximum member benefit while mitigating risk and minimizing loss to Vancity.
      • Partnering with related internal/external stakeholders (e.g. Visa, lawyers, realtors, appraisers) in order to resolve the debt and meet business objectives

      You have:

      • A High School diploma - At a minimum, you have graduated from high school and/or equivalent
      • Completion of Financial Planning Coursework - You have taken Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 and CUIC 210
      • Lending Experience - One year of lending experience in the financial industry

      The salary range for this role is $56,500 to $84,700 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
