- Provide reports and data to district staff. Identify trends and discrepancies in collaboration with administration.
- Provide support and clarification to schools with CT-SEDS issues to ensure accurate reporting for Special Education Data Application and Collection (SEDAC) compliance.
- Serve as an in-house expert on CT SEDS and its evolving technology.
- Support the development of high-quality IEPs through expert use of CT SEDS.
- Ensure timeliness of all Special Education and 504 required documentation including Individual Education Plan (IEP) development, Annual Case Reviews, Evaluations, Re-Evaluations.
- Maintain communication with building-based Special Education teachers and administrators concerning compliance issues and finalization of IEPs.
- Monitor student nexus information and changes, update district’s Assistant Director of Information Systems of any changes in student status, ensure information is communicated related to State of CT Public School Information System (PSIS) data.
- Managing the operation and integrity of CTSEDS, providing follow-up, training, and data-related support to end users, and composing and preparing reports to provide accurate data to state and federal agencies.
- Conducts audits to ensure compliance with Federal and State law, as well as District Special Education policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Federal, state, and local regulations and policies that govern the education of students with disabilities for IEP, Section 504 and local and Federal reporting
- Ability to monitor and support State reports including SEDAC
- Ability to monitor and implement State developed IEP Data system (CT-SEDS)
- Knowledge of State of CT Public School Information System (PSIS) and Reporting Portal
- Experience with Special Education IEP programs and Student Information Systems (SIS)
- Ability to read and interpret Individual Educational Programs (IEPs)
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior written and oral skills
- Excellent troubleshooting techniques
- Strong organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow-up and the ability to meet deadlines

Salary Range: $30.79/hr – 32.56/hr
Reports to: Director of Student Services
S ta rting Date: July 1, 2024
Role: The Data Manager will be responsible for performing daily functions to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the district’s special education student data. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance and accuracy with all state and federal guidelines for Special Education and 504 reporting, keeping accurate and timely data in the CT Special Education Data System (CT SEDS), informing staff and administration on changes in data management practices, and serving as an in-house expert on CT SEDS.
