      San José Unified’s Extended School Year program for students with special needs is an excellent opportunity for instructional staff to support students’ development of academic, social, and life skills. Roles are available in a variety of programs and may be providing class-level or 1:1 support.


      Our Extended School Year (ESY) program serves students who qualify for ESY per their IEP. ESY is offered at the following locations this year:

      • Allen at Steinbeck
      • Anne Darling
      • Canoas
      • Carson
      • Grant
      • Graystone
      • Olinder
      • Simonds
      • Terrell
      • Washington
      • Gunderson
      • Liberty (ACE Post-Secondary)

      ESY will be 3 hours of instruction each day plus 50 minutes of supervising and supporting student arrivals / departures. ESY is five days per week from June 03 through 28, with no school on June 19. All programs will start between 8am and 9am and end between 11am and 12pm. Exact bell times will be published later this spring.


      Compensation during the program will be at your hourly rate.


      This opportunity is available to current employees only at this time. You will be selected based on student needs.
