Lewis-Palmer Middle School - Job Description
Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a special education paraprofessional beginning with the 2025-26 school year . Must be willing and able to work with students with severe needs in the Severe Needs Program at our Middle School. Must be willing and able to support students with a variety of special needs. Must be a flexible team player and have the genuine desire to work with middle school ages. Must be able to assist in small group activities or work one-on-one to follow the educational support plans for the students.
This is a full time position, working on all student contact days plus three professional development days determined by the principal. The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.16-$20.67 depending on previous experience. A higher starting wage rate may be granted to applicants who hold one of the following: a current Colorado educator's license, bachelor’s degree, RBT certification, CNA license or RMA/CMA certificate. This position is full time, 7.5 hrs per day, and is eligible for benefits. The start date for this position is for the fall of 2025. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. *This position is eligible for a $1,000 bonus- $500 to be paid after 90 days and $500 paid in the April 2026 paycheck.
All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
