      Special Events Associate

      The Special Events Associate works with the Sales and Service Departments supporting the Company event and venue needs. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their schedule effectively.

      This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager. The position is an exempt position and not subject to overtime under the FLSA.

      Primary Objectives & Essential Functions:

      • Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver License and a motor vehicle record that meets Adams’ standards as outlined in the Safe Driving Policy for a minimum of 60 months.
      • Safely operate commercial and/or non-commercial company vehicles while obeying all traffic laws
      • Secure company vehicle and equipment/tools when unattended
      • Always greet customers in a professional and friendly manner at each service call.
      • Develop strong working relationships with all major venue and special event decision makers.
      • Oversees, coordinates, and participates in product delivery to main venues within the territory. For example, in Charlotte it includes but is not limited to Charlotte Motor Speedway, PNC Amphitheatre, Bank of America Stadium, and Spectrum Center.
      • Oversees and assists with delivery and service of Airport Venues.
      • Coordinates and schedules all special event staffing, set up, and breakdown.
      • Maintains, approves, and delivers all special event and venue equipment.
      • Provides special event recap for each event to include equipment used, staffing needs, product delivered, product sold, event contact information, etc.
      • Tracks and maintains inventory of all draught and mobile special event equipment.
      • Monitors and maximizes distribution in all venues.
      • Aggressively pursue/evaluate sales opportunities at new venues and/or events.
      • Monitors product rotation in all venues in accordance with Adams’ Quality Control Policy.
      • Complete/attend all assigned training.
      • Provides updates on Venue offerings/locations to manager and suppliers as requested.
      • All other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager.

      The role assumes other responsibilities as assigned by General Managers, Directors, and Ownership.

      Position Requirements

      • Candidates are required to possess and maintain a clean, Class A Commercial Drivers License and a motor vehicle record that meets Adams’ standards as outlined in the Safe Driving Policy for a minimum of 60 months.
      • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of Company computer programs:
        1. Encompass RAS
        2. Microsoft Outlook
      • Must possess an effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with management, internal and external customers.
      • Broad knowledge and experience in sales and company objectives.
      • Excellent Organizational Skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills.
      • Reasoning Ability - must demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
      • This position does require weekend and evening work, and the schedule is not always consistent from day to day or week to week.

      Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

      Required Education and Experience

      • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

      While performing the duties of this job in the office environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While performing duties of this job in the field environment, the employee will be exposed on a regular basis to changing weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, motor vehicles, automotive fumes and traffic. In addition, the exposure while in customer locations cannot be projected. These conditions may vary, and the employee will receive adequate training to recognize and avoid hazards that cannot be described as expected. Noise levels will range from moderate to loud and the employee will be exposed to cramped quarters.
