They prioritize tasks effectively, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and use resources wisely to achieve smooth and successful event execution.
- Ensures that the artist and their team have everything they need, addressing any last-minute requests and coordinating with Museum staff to ensure a smooth setup.
- Customer Service: Assist guests and ensure a positive experience.
- Event Planning: Plan and coordinate event logistics.
- Vendor and Staff Coordination: Ensure work orders are executed correctly.
- Conducts regular inventory checks of event supplies and coordinates with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Facility Management: Oversee maintenance and equipment.
- Emergency Response: Handle emergencies and ensure safety.
- Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks.
- Work with vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to museum policies.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Organize event details and streamline processes.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A BA/BS degree is preferred.
- Previous work experience in customer service and/or hospitality is required.
- Event management experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with theatre equipment is a plus.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and juggle multiple, competing priorities.
- Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs., including navigating stairs.
- Physical Activity: Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
- Sensory Abilities: Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to meet the position's requirements.
