      Under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the AP Specialist will perform accounting and other tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions ensuring that company guidelines and processes are being followed.

      Responsibilities:

      • Process a high volume of vendor invoices on a daily basis.
      • Daily review and verification of a high volume of invoices and check requests.
      • Generate, track and process expense reports to ensure accuracy.
      • Reconcile Accounts Payable Transactions.
      • Establish and maintain successful relationships with new and existing vendors.
      • Cross reference information between the company’s purchase orders and vendors’ invoices.
      • Manage a high volume of accounts for various vendors.
      • Ensure vendor invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner, as per established payment terms.
      • Research and resolve inquiries and disputes associated with vendor invoices and purchase orders.
      • Analyze account statements and request necessary information from the vendors.
      • Manage a high volume of vendor communication via phone and/or email.
      • Organize and assist with the Accounts Payable department check runs.
      • Assist with Accounts Payable month-end closing procedures.
      • Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with daily tasks in the department, such as filing and analyzing reports.

      Qualifications and Competencies:

      • High School Degree required; College degree highly desired or equivalent work experience.
      • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable is preferred.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite systems, high comfort level leveraging reporting tools daily.
      • Working knowledge of MS Great Plains Dynamics, MS Office 2010 or later.
      • Self-starter able to work with a high degree of urgency and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
      • Strong analytical mindset – ability to analyze and interpret data to draw accurate conclusions, prioritize work, and elevate concerns appropriately.
      • Must be highly organized with great attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy.
      • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Excellent facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise positively with all levels of management.
      • Professionalism and discretion along with excellent prioritization skills.
