- Working with children and young people in their homes, early years settings, mainstream and special schools to provide physiotherapy assessments and interventions.
- To supervise Band 4's within the team and special school setting and support students as needed.
- To have a knowledge of Hydrotherapy and / or interest in developing skills in this area to support special school programmes.
- To have an interest in developing knowledge of specialist equipment and develop assessment skills for postural management.
- To have an interest in developing knowledge of orthoses and work alongside an orthotist during assessments.
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- Current HCPC Registration
- Post-qualification experience of working with children with needs across a range of core areas relevant to the post e.g. neurology, learning disabilities, outpatients, community, complex needs, Autism, Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner e.g., caseload management, prioritising cases, effective organisation and time management skills
- To be able to select and carry out appropriate assessment and in-depth observation combined with appropriate discussions / liaison to form a differential diagnosis
- Experience of MDT working
- Experience of supervising less experienced members of staff.

Job summary
At Sirona Care & Health, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Children's Community Physiotherapist to join our team. This role will be expected to cover services across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset dependant on clinical demand.
You will work across a variety of settings, including the community and special schools, providing physiotherapy to children and young people with complex neurological and developmental conditions.
As part of your role, you'll have the opportunity to supervise and support Band 4 staff and students, helping to shape the future of the team. You will also develop a deeper understanding of specialist equipment, postural management, and orthoses by working alongside orthotists to enhance your clinical practice.

We are open to applicants who are looking for full (37.5hrs) or part time hours (from 22.5hours) on a permanent or fixed term basis.
