      Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Specialist! Working under the direction of the Department Chair, the Specialist works on special projects and develops strategic plans for new academic programs and initiatives that enhance student experience and success in CS. Builds positive external relations and partnerships with business and government leaders and academic advisory boards in engineering and technology. Works with CS faculty, the Deans’ Office, and other institutional units at UVU to create new courses and programs that meet student, industry, and community workforce needs and advances the dual mission of UVU within the context of computing and technology.
      • Develops and maintains relationships with industry, government, and academic partners with CS.
      • Assists department and college leaders in developing and coordinating strategic academic program goals and objectives in CS.
      • Assists with data collection and analysis for strategic/long range planning for academic programs in CS.
      • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the department chair.
      Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate degree in a closely related field, plus two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties; OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years.Knowledge
      • Knowledge regarding engineering and technology programs and courses.
      • Knowledge of administrative processes, curriculum processes, and recruitment activities.

      • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative in solving problems.
      • Ability to work independently.
