      About the role

      We are looking for a Specialist Contracts to join the Facilities team in Perth.

      You will enjoy working as part of the Facilities team, collaborating with a range of stakeholders to influence and manage a broad portfolio of work. You have a passion for process improvement and transformation.

      You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on Monday to Friday Perth based roster with flexible working arrangements which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

      Reporting to the Superintendent Contracts & Commercial you will;

      • Work closely with operational teams, procurement, and other business stakeholders to support an efficient end-to-end contract management experience for all stakeholders.
      • Support or lead negotiation strategies and communication plans for supplier negotiations and meetings.
      • Provide commercial guidance to the relevant stakeholders.
      • Build and grow relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and value through a formal Supplier Relationship Management process.
      • Support the development of stakeholder engagement plans to help formalise effective and collaborative relationships with a broad and varied group of Rio Tinto business units.
      • Proactively work on initiatives to help contain contract-spend leakage and deliver contractual performance outcomes as required.

      What you’ll bring

      • Proven record of leading to drive successful contract & commercial outcomes.
      • Ability to formulate and present the analysis and business cases to support Facilities strategies.
      • Understanding of end-to-end contract processes
      • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated experience leading complex contract negotiations.
      • Ability to work effectively and productively to support a strong team environment with an expected high degree of individual autonomy and accountability.
      • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Proficiency in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
