- Ideation, project management, and support for the development and implementation of the CoP and related technical assistance activities (e.g. virtual convenings, informational calls, peer learning circles, conference presentations, in-person convenings) for projects within the Education to Work Partnerships technical assistance portfolio.
- Schedule and coordinate project activities and support with tracking grant deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with the Technical Assistance team and Sr.Specialist to plan, design, staff, and facilitate various in-person and virtual learning convenings each year.
- Draft content and find resources to support virtual CoPs, resource documents, and publications.
- Provide support with grants, toolkits, and reports,
- Build and cultivate relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling, coordinating, and supporting with facilitating partner meetings
- Practices ownership, takes accountability, and has the ability to project manage, prioritize tasks, and deliver quality products on time with limited supervision.
- Strong project management skills with ability to adapt, innovate, balance details and timelines, verify progress on deliverables, and determine strategic priorities across multiple projects.
- General knowledge of apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and work-based learning models is a plus.
- Demonstrated writing and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

Specialist, Education to Work Partnerships

We are seeking a Specialist, Education to Work Partnerships to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. Together, we are building stronger communities by getting students and colleges the resources they need to succeed and expanding pathways to economic and social mobility across California. What You’ll Do
The Workforce Development team of the Foundation for California Community Colleges supports meaningful connections between students and employers in California through work-based learning and support services. Our role is to support efforts to bring relevancy and real-world experience to students in California through growing the quantity and quality of work-based learning, including job shadowing, classroom presentations, internships, apprenticeships and other job training opportunities.
The Foundation's Workforce Development Department (WDD) seeks a Specialist to play a critical role in supporting the department's success by supporting Communities of Practice (CoPs) and relating technical assistance activities across two pillars of the technical assistance portfolio: initiatives that focus on the expansion of new and innovative pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeships as pathways for low-wage workers to secure middle-skill jobs in California, addressing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in the labor market, and helping workforce boards and nonprofit organizations address barriers to employment for underserved populations.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
