Job Description

- Create high-quality visual concepts for digital and print media, including customer-facing deliverables and internal materials, all while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and supporting team and organizational needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand design requirements and deliver innovative solutions
- Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and specifications are met
- Produce and optimize final design files for various formats (print, web, multimedia)
- Communicate with external vendors as needed
- Stay informed on design trends, software updates, and industry best practices
- Recommend improvements to templates, systems, and design processes
- Mentor junior designers, providing guidance on design techniques and workflow
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of design skills, with a solid understanding of design principles such as hierarchy, typography, color theory, and layout techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in graphic design or a similar role. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and Microsoft PowerPoint
- U.S. Citizen
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, on-brand design solutions, diagramd and icons, across various platforms
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience working with multimedia assets (video, animation, etc.)
- Ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to non-design stakeholders
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Adaptability and the ability to quickly learn new software as needed
- Ability to execute design work efficiently, particularly on tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic and commitment to team success
- Passion for new tools and desire to see how it can be applied effectively to elevate work
- Experience in the defense, aerospace or technology sectors
- Experience designing trade show booths
- Knowledge of photography and/or videography
- Familiarity with basic HTML

The Graphic Designer position will work closely with the Senior Manager of Creative Services to support L3Harris' visual communications across multiple platforms, including print and digital media. This role involves collaborating to create and refine marketing collateral, infographics, program identifiers, PowerPoint presentations, dynamic ads, tradeshow booth graphics, executive materials, and web content—all designed to promote L3Harris as the Trusted Disruptor in the Aerospace and Defense industry. The position requires a creative problem-solver and effective communicator, with the ability to clearly convey stories through digital and print design, as well as a strong interest in staying current with new technologies.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $59,000 - $110,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $68,500 - $127,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
