Job Description

- Provide administrative support focused on compliance with employment eligibility and minor employment regulations and policies
- Assist with coordination of the tracking, preparation, and completion of regulatory filings, registrations, and compliance documents
- Assist with audits and with implementing and monitoring compliance controls
- Act as key contact for I-9 and E-verify activities, following up with Managers on issues and educating where necessary

- Maintain files and other documentation required by departmental procedures
- Work in partnership with other team managers/leaders as required
- Exhibit initiative to recommend actions to improve existing processes
- Generate routine reports related to regulatory and policy compliance
- Work with both internal and external sources to ensure Panera's compliance with all employment related regulations across all business units
- Monitor industry news; network with other organizations to stay abreast of regulatory and legal requirements for employment related regulations, benefit plan offerings, vendor contracts and mandated communications.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Experience
- 1-3 years of general job experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with researching, reading and interpreting legislative and legal documents, state and local laws and regulations, related federal regulations and regulatory compliance requirements (preferred).
- Experience with E-Verify (preferred)
- Experience in multi-jurisdictional HR compliance relative to minor employment regulations (preferred).
- Specialized knowledge
- Some knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment / human resources

The HR Compliance Specialist is primarily responsible for providing administrative support focused on compliance with Employment Eligibility Verification and Minor Labor regulations and policies.
